JOY! It helps you relax or get excited (in a good way), engage or disengage (in a good way), feel connected or feel free (in a good way). JOY - we need more of it. Why? Because of...STRESS! It's everywhere! It's part of life!
We need help We are all in pretty sad shape. We're over-stressed, over-worked, over-whelmed, over-loaded! Stress is our middle name and depression and anxiety are becoming more and more factors in our lives, like it or not (NOT!). Anti-depressants and anti-anxiety medications are often thought to be the one and only answer. With my joy rx, I'm presenting another option to consider.
I'm an overthinker myself (one of the ways I explain anxiety and worry to folks is as being “overthinking”). But I've also learned how to relax and view the world in such a way that I am able to manage my stress and even reduce the quantity of stress in my own life whenever and wherever I can!
